Radius maps show rings around a location at specific distances, such as the 1- and 3-mile rings around Long Beach, Santa Ana and Anaheim in the radius map above. Notice the rings do not intersect. Creating non-overlapping rings around multiple points in radius maps prevents the double counting of data within each radius and also assigns all geography closest to any one location to that location. You can also create drive-time radius maps.
Radius maps are important tools in trade area analysis, site selection and customer profiling.
